MB4000 Modular Back

The Metalcraft Modular Back is a durable, lightweight back engineered to accommodate your custom requirements. The back is available as a fill-width or drop-in back for 12”, 14”, 16” or 18” wheelchairs. The back height can be adjusted using simple hand tools. This allows the back to be adjusted for growth or changing physical needs. A complete line of positioning components can be added to the MB4000 so that the back will meet the needs of a wide variety of individuals.

The back has medial lateral contouring to better match the contour of the torso. The back is available in either a biangular shape or straight. The biangular shape supports the pelvis in a more upright posture. Both are adjustable in overall height. The height of the biangular section can be adjusted independently of the total back height. All back sections are available in a variety of colors with neoprene backed fabric. The cushion thickness is 1 1/2" thick, with the supporting structure the total cushion thickness is 2". Back cushion comes with mounting hardware. Also available as part of a complete Modular Transit Seating System.
